The Legend is operated as a Multi-day Skippered Bareboat Charter Boat. A Bareboat Skippered charter provides the boat with a Captain and contains the basics such as linens, dishes, and silverware. Fishing gear to include rods and reels, crab pots and limited boat supplies are provided without extra cost. Two 2-person kayaks are available upon request at no extra charge. Fuel, food, and incidental charges while voyaging are the responsibility of the charter client. Not included are the cost of fishing licenses, alcoholic beverages and gratuity (industry standard is normally 15-20% of the charter fee). Base rates quoted include up to 4 passengers. Two additional passengers may be accommodated for an extra charge per person.

Base Boat Fees: Charter fees are calculated on a boat-rate/day basis. At the time of booking a Reservation Fee of 20% is required. The Balance is due 120 days prior to the charter start date. On the day of sailing a Security and Cleaning Deposit of $300 is required. This deposit is returned in full when the boat is returned clean and no deep cleaning or fishing gear replacement is required.

Client Boat Operation Costs - For planning purposes estimated client costs for a bareboat skippered charter are as follows: Boat fuel/day:  $150.00;  food/person/day:  $30.00;  fishing license/person (14-day): $100.00. A 5% sales tax is assessed on all items purchased in the City and Borough of Juneau, and for boat charter time spent within the waters of the City and Borough of Juneau. Moorage fee is $30.00/day if needed.

Any fish caught during the voyage are the responsibility of the charter client. Processing and shipment to the client’s home can be arranged, but is not included in the charter fee. Cost of this service will vary depending on the location where the fish are caught and the shipment destination.
